Davina Pritchard is a native of Santa Cruz who lives part-time in the Costa Rican jungle in a tiny dwelling she's building herself.
Though she’s been an artist since childhood, the vibrant flora and fauna of Costa Rica inspired her to take up painting in earnest. She is known for her red eyed tree frogs. They get big smiles, which she says are her greatest reward as an artist.
Since she travels frequently, wherever she goes, her artwork varies as the influences change. "The inspiration is endless in nature, exotic places and cultures. Wandering feeds my creativity."
Davina works with acrylic, oil, driftwood, rusty hardware and reclaimed materials, or "anything fun".
A truly international artist, she has exhibited in France, Costa Rica, California, and her paintings can also be found in Australia, Germany, and Italy.
