This body of work reflects a desire to let the creative flow take more of the control. A less meticulous approach was embraced, and the tool choice reflects this. The acrylic pieces were made using many aerosol, acrylic, and dry pastel layers watered together with acetone, resulting in a dreamy abstract atmosphere. The digital pieces were made completely on Procreate using an iPad and Apple pencil. These tools were new, the last few months of 2017. The overall theme is that of science fiction inspired locations, places that we cannot go, and yet we can. The imagination is a door to anywhere.
